How We Love Lacy...The Pony

After having my 3rd child I have found that it is not so easy losing that baby weight. I decided in early July that I was going to have to start exercising on a regular basis to get back to where I want to be. I found a family friend who offered to come to my house M-Thurs. for a couple of hours in the morining. She has been so good to my kids and they love her to death. Well, Thursday was her last day because she heads back to school on Monday. Friday she invited us to her house to give the girls their pony ride they have been dying to get. We enjoyed some time with her family as well. We will miss you Loretta!

Three Kids, Three DIFFERENT Personalities

As I was looking back at all the pictures I have taken over the summer I can't believe how much my kids have grown and changed. All three have been given very different personalities as well.

Emma - You are very caring and nuturing. You are always asking to hold Jax and everyone else's babies. You go visit your grandma great almost everyday. I am very proud of the little girl you've become. You are getting ready to start preschool in a few weeks and I know you are definitely ready. You are also my "little diva". You love to wear make-up and paint your finger nails and toe nails. You are always asking when we are going to get a manicure and pedicure. We've tried that once, but you couldn't sit still long enough to let them dry! :)

Josie - Your personality has definitely grown over the last month or so. You are our families comedian. During the day Emma and I love to sit back and watch you. You make us laugh hysterically. Today you decided to talk to us while having both fingers up your nose! You have the sweetest little voice and you are definitely a favorite among the extended family.
You are also the most fearless 19 month old I know. Last week you were bitten by a little kitty TWICE, but you still held on to that darn kitty while fighting off our new black lab, Harley.

Up to no good...

Jax - My sweet baby boy. I can't begin to tell you how in love with you I am. You fit perfectly into our family. You resemble Emma, but have dark hair like your daddy. You are beginning to laugh and giggle frequently. You love your sisters, but like for your mommy to be close by in case your sisters start to give you a little to much lovin. Your mommy loves to kiss and hug on you all the time. I know one day you won't let me do that anymore so I am going to do it all the time for as long as you will let me.

Any Suggestions...

I want to update my blog title picture. My kids have grown up so much since that picture was taken and poor little Jax isn't even in it. When I did it for the first time it took F O R E V E R and I know there has got to be an easier way. Any suggestions?

Long Overdue

I decided that this was going to be the day I made my first official post in a very long while. Where I even start is beyond me. I believe I will begin with the most recent occasion within our family and go from there. Enjoy!

First, today is my first born Emma's birthday. She is officially 4 years old. I am going to reminisce for a moment. When I found out I was pregnant with Emma it was quite a surprise. I was so nervous about being a mom. I wanted to only eat the "right" foods and be the perfect mother who had her child on the "perfect" schedule. Boy did God have other things in mind for me. When Emma was born she was perfect in every way. I remember looking at her and thanking God for blessing me with such a beautiful and healthy little girl. Emma was named after her great-great grandma who was still alive when she was born. What a blessing for my Emma. My great grandma passed away soon after Josie was born. When we brought Emma home it was 95 degrees feeling something like today. I could not take her out for very long that summer because very quickly she would get a heat rash. I remember being so depressed because I could not spend those moments with my friends who were laying poolside or boating...see none of my friends had babies at the time that I had Emma. Months later I learned that I had what is called post-partum depression. It was not talked about as often as it is now. Don't get me wrong I loved my daughter, but I also loved my life the way it was pre-baby. I never had thoughts of endangering my daughter just alot of anxiety and depression. Emma also had colic and reflux. Now we all know what an adjustment it is as a first time parent, but having a baby with colic and reflux is emotionaly and mentally draining. After many months she overcame the colic and reflux. I thank the Lord everyday for my wonderful and supportive family who helped me through those first few months, especially my mom. Without them and the support of my husband I don't know how I would have made it through. Fast forward 4 years later and I am the proud mother of the most beautiful 4 year old who has such a zest for life and who wants nothing more than to spend every waking minute with her family, friends, and loved ones. Emma - I love you more than you will ever know. You bring such joy to me everyday. I thank the Lord for everyday that he gives me with you. Happy birthday Emma!!!!

Secondly, my little sister Lacy married her best friend Matthew Inman last Saturday. Lacy looked as beautiful as ever. Even though she will remain in Washington I will miss her very much with her starting her "own" life now. She is truly an amazing sister and friend. Lacy - words can never tell you how amazing you are and how you bring such joy to the people around you. I love you!!

Next, the arrival of our beautiful baby boy, Jaxson Scott Knepp. This little guy is truly his fathers son. He has dark hair and is dark skinned. He is such a good baby and is loved not only by his mommy and daddy, but also his very protective sisters.

Lastly, I graduated in May with a B.A. degree in Spec. Ed./Elem. Ed. I am so excited to be finished, but will miss seeing my life long friends each day.

Oh, did I mention we moved in March? :)

Well, I believe that pretty much sums it up for now. Everyone have a safe and wonderful weekend!

Our New Arrival...

Before I get started I do not have any pictures to post at the moment...disappointing I know. I will get them up soon. I have a girl that is going to help me out this summer with my kiddos, so hopefully I can spend a few extra minutes on the computer to download my pictures.
Anyway, our family is proud to announce the newest member of the Knepp family...Jaxson Scott Knepp. He was born June 1, 2009 and weighed 8 lbs and was 21 in. Jaxson looks alot like his daddy. He has dark hair and is pretty dark complected. I couldn't ask for a better baby. He eats and sleeps very well. We are all adjusting to our newest addition. Emma is the "big helper" and Josie is always first on the scene when he starts to cry. I did say though that if Jaxson's eyeballs are still in tact by the end of the first year I will call it successful (thanks in part to Josie)! As promised I will get pictures up soon. I know my family and friends who live away from us are dying to see him, so I will just warn you now...he is pretty handsome!! :)

I'll Be Back...

It's so sad to say, but it has been so long since I posted that I forgot my password to be able to get onto blogger. Alot of things have happened since my last post 3 1/2 months ago, but at this moment I don't have alot of time. I just wanted to type a quick post and ask if any of you mom's out there have any good ideas for Mother's Day necklaces. Scott asked me what I wanted for Mother's Day and I told him I wanted a neat Mother's necklace. I have seen many cute ones...(Tera, Brooke, etc.)and just wondered if anybody had any good ideas or suggestions on a place to get one. Thanks in advance for all your comments.

Synopsis of the Knepp Family

Believe it or not, life has slowed down for our family a little, but unfortunatly not for long.

Student teaching has been and hopefully will continue to go well. I love my cooperating teacher and the students as well. They are so full of spunk and each have their own personalities for sure.

Scott is still keeping busy as usual. He is either working, ice fishing, or tinkering on something. He definitely goes stir crazy if he is in the house to long.

Emma is doing well. She has been busy helping take care of the babies at the baby sitters. She loves it, but hasn't quite learned how to take care of HER little sister. We are still working on the "sisterly love" thing.
Emma like her dad loves to be outdoors or at someone else's house. She recently spent the night at a friends while her Aunt Lacy was babysitting.

Josie - what can I say about this little monster. She can be sweet and gentle and loves to be with her mommy, but as we have all learned she can definitely hold her own. She is a biter and her mommy and daddy have had to teach some tough love. Her new word is STOP. I wonder why she picked up this word so early on? :)

Our sweet little boy is still thriving. I have been able to feel him kick alot lately. Scott and I will be going to the doctor soon to hopefully get some good pictures of our sweet little guy.

Also, our family will be moving out of our cozy little home into one that fits a family of 5's needs. Scott and I have thought and prayed over this situation for awhile now. We had a couple that was interested in buying our home, we looked at homes, thought about building...but nothing seemed right. Scott's dad has been interested in building a home like the one we live in now for quite some time. He offered to switch us homes until we decide to build (hopefully within the next 3-5 years). I think Virgil is pretty excited but I don't think Barbara is crazy about organizing and moving everything that she has acquired over the last 20-30 years. She has been more than willing to make it work though. God bless them. We will be moving sometime in March, so wish us luck!

Well, I get to enjoy my day with the girls today. SNOW DAY! One of the perks of being involved in the school system.

Everyone have a safe and wonderful week!!
